Biden - along with many Democrats - has consistently tried to ban or limit use of, and access to, these weapons. Trump comes off as loving guns and unfettered availability to them.

It's similar to what I like to call the "seatbelt conversation". Someone - e.g., a celebrity like Derrick Thomas, Princess Di - dies in an accident where wearing a seatbelt may have prevented death or even injury. An uncle of mine was a career high school football coach with good record as well as athletic director at a small college in Mississippi. He retired to Pass Christian MS, built a home on a golf course where he and his regular buddies played EVERY SINGLE DAY except Sundays and a few days after Hurricane Katrina.
