Dear Biden White House,

I am reaching out to urgently request your immediate attention to the threats and discrimination faced by Haitians in Ohio, particularly considering the comments made during the recent presidential debate. It
is crucial that the administration takes prompt action to prosecute those responsible for such threats.

I strongly urge Vice President Harris to visit Springfield, not as a campaign stop, but in her capacity as Vice
President, to help calm the community as she did in Tennessee. I implore the Attorney General or the FBI
to thoroughly investigate and prosecute individuals who are making direct threats against Haitians.

Additionally, I recommend deploying a team led by a principal figure to collaborate closely with
community leaders and law enforcement agencies to de-escalate tensions and ensure the safety of all individuals. Upholding the values of inclusivity and respect for all communities is paramount.

It would be most evident, and respectful, to all of the people of Springfield if the current president were to visit, because this is not your typical disaster, but a disaster all the same.

Springfield did not ask for this shit

So, even though nobody's house is under water the City of Springfield deserves a hug from their HMFIC.

They need at very least, even if for just one day, to be the center of the American Universe.

Because, when the President comes to visit your home, everyone from everywhere, starts to understand the gravity of the situation at hand.

I know Springfield. I live just 6 miles down the road in Yellow Springs.

They are very tough bunch, a very gracious bunch, a very loving bunch, and I trust that if the President were to visit they would probably send him home a boxed Haitian lunch, and 5 gallons of Rocky Road.

MAGA/GQP circles are looking to create a "Charlottesville" atmosphere somewhere in the US as a "rallying" move? It would certainly be an act of desperation since I think from a rational standpoint that it would have a bigger negative rather than positive effect for them. But having said what is rational also means we need to accept that to a very large extent these so-called "strategists" of their groups have demonstrated over and over again that they are not strongly tethered to rational thought, speech, strategy or conduct.

The blatant racism of the phony stories about Haitian immigrants is obviously horrible to the vast majority of us but does their continued push signal an effort by the MAGA/GQP strategists to tap and energize their extreme fringe and give them a "place and a claim" to focus on and ratchet up their activities?

I do believe these people are that evil and demented. I also believe that they see being able to use these "claims" for effect even once they lose in November. The fund raising and grift by others on the radical right will continue and will as always use false claims etc. I often think about people like Kari Lake in AZ and whether her constant lawsuits and activities over her election loss were really far more about keeping herself "visible and in the news" and to fund raise as opposed to any really serious chance of legal success for her claims.
