The Pope slams Harris and Trump -

Pope slams Harris and Trump as ‘against life,’ urges Catholics to vote for ‘lesser evil’

ABOARD THE PAPAL PLANE (AP) — Pope Francis on Friday slammed both U.S. presidential candidates for what he called anti-life policies on abortion and migration, and he advised American Catholics to choose who they think is the “lesser evil” in the upcoming U.S. elections.

“Both are against life, be it the one who kicks out migrants, or be it the one who kills babies,″ Francis said.

it states the soul doesn’t enter the body until the first breath is taken, therefore, it isn’t a baby or a human.

Where do you stand with children being for reals murdered in our schools?

just stay out of our politics. You don’t live here and you can’t vote and your opinion wasn’t requested!

The Argentine Jesuit was asked to provide counsel to American Catholic voters during an airborne news conference while he flew back to Rome from his four-nation tour through Asia. Francis stressed that he is not an American and would not be voting.

Not sure who was asking him for his counsel.

Perhaps he should focus on his involvement in covering up the priests preying on children.

as well as is his position on 'he doesn't live here'.
As an American Catholic (at least marginally) I'll make my own democratic decisions regarding my non-papist, SECULAR government.
Never in my life would I give a reporter a comment on the record, on how I think his holiness should run HIS VATICAN, as it's neither my place, my perogative, OR my Personal Kingdom.

Among Catholic voters, Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris has a slight advantage over Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, according to a poll conducted by RealClear Opinion Research and EWTN.

The survey's sample of 1,000 American Catholic voters Aug. 28-30 shows that 50% of Catholic voters plan to vote for Harris, compared to 43% who support Trump. When undecided voters are taken into account, Harris' lead rises to 54%, while Trump's support rises to 45%.

The poll, with a margin of error of +/-3 percentage points, reveals a significant gender gap. Among female Catholic voters, Harris has an advantage over Trump, with 56% of support compared to Trump's 37%. In contrast, 49% of male Catholic voters favor Trump while 43% support Harris. This division mirrors other polls taken in recent months on a national scale.

give the attitudes of many Roman Catholic priests and bishops in the US: in 2020 they supported - and told their parishioners- to vote for Donnie because of Biden’s position on abortion. This is the same clergy that refuses communion to Catholic politicians who believe reproductive decisions should be left to women . (And they wonder why the pews keep getting emptier )

Francis is giving Catholics permission to base their votes on the whole package, not just on how candidates stand on one issue . And that’s why people like Cardinal Dolan, the Heritage Foundation, most of the establishment clergy, and reactionary converts lke Shady Vance hate him.

Maybe the pope should get his cardinals and other church officials to stop sexually abusing kids before he spouts off about an election in another country. I have many Catholic friends, but the fact is the Catholic Church bears many of the marks of a cult. The pope? Give me a break . . .
