(60,045 posts)It's amazing to me how people can be so disconnected from the cold reality of different experiences.
People walking around thinking their highly limited personal experience is or should be the rule of the world.
You don't have to walk a mile in someone's shoes to understand empathy, just a little logic or common sense can work as well.

(32,528 posts)And asked Can someone please track down these women Kamala is talking about having issues because of abortion bans, so hundreds of women responded to the vile disgusting fucking goddamn pig with their stories.
I read somewhere on there this horrific disgrace of a human being pictured above will be working in the traitor's White House if he takes power.

(682 posts)He had started out as Donny's diaper boy.
By the end of the last administration, he was hiring and firing, and is thought to have drafted "policy" documents for Trump to sign. Word is he has been vetting magats for loyalty for jobs in the next administration if Trump is allowed back.

(81 posts)The inability to understand the consequences of the overturning of Roe v Wade from so many Americans is appalling and terrifying. If something does not literally affect them they DO NOT CARE.

(28,866 posts)Oh, just one of the hidden costs of their anti-abortion actions.
Just wait until they find out that each extra birth above stasis adds between $200-360K in education and supplemental service taxes over an 18-year period. Those Red States are driving themselves into bankruptcy. And when those MAGAts complain as to why their school taxes keep going up, they have no one else but themselves to tanks for it.

(211 posts)This poor young woman went through so much unnecessary suffering. Just imagine if this becomes the reality in every state, not just those run by right-wing nutjobs (like mine is). The US already has the highest rate of maternal death in the developed world, and these sick bastards want that rate to increase? There are no words in the English language strong enough to express my contempt for them.

(23,112 posts)John McEntee, former director of the White House Presidential Personnel Office in the Trump administration and senior adviser at Project 2025. He's also the same guy who posted on TikTok about giving away fake money to homeless people so they will be arrested for using counterfeit money.
Is a true MAGAt

(1,789 posts)I faced this long ago. I'm a white, privileged male. I was, in my day, a tech bro. I saw this contagion developing in the mid-90's when the internet came into being.
I've always been a liberal, but I was surrounded by people who listened to Limbaugh, read Drudge religiously, read Bill Kristol (I can't believe that we're on the same side now), and watched Fox religiously.
Before Facebook/Twitter/MySpace etc. we started up (at my suggestion) a primitive email chatroom. Me and a couple of other people were the liberals and the anti-everything crowd got so riled up we had to shut it down. You couldn't have a conversation with them. The insults would start to fly and I had to go to our district manager (a talented female manager) and suggest we just shut it down. She agreed.
The amazing thing is that this was an office of about 50 people and we all knew each other. There were a number of guys (it was always guys) that no longer spoke to me after that.
The things I discovered then are still true now.
Facts don't matter. What they felt determined their positions. You could not move them off their positions. If you tried they didn't argue they got mad and would start with the name calling. Their eyes, ears, and brains were sealed.
And then it got worse. A lot worse.
I don't know how we fix this. Even when Trump dies all of these people are still with us. They have no problem fighting dirty. They have no sense of honor. They lie and make things up without hesitation and when called on it just go off on you.
This hits me where I live. My wife had two miscarriages and two DNCs in the late 80's--today, in Missouri, you most likely have to travel to Illinois to get that kind of healthcare.
We have to defeat them and then defeat them again and again and again. Because they won't stop. The angry evil that lives in their heartless chests is like some kind of possession.
Our country needs an exorcism.
