(3,702 posts)Every day, it's 11 minutes of fires, wrecks, road closures, and shootings followed by 9 minutes of weather and 2 minutes of sports.
In the 1990s and early 2000s, a lot of the senior anchors/reporters were in the camp of the Republicans (Kris Long, Scott Baker, and Meghan Jones immediately come to mind). Recently, though, Pittsburgh is a media market in decline, and the three newscasts are now overwhelmingly staffed by recent college grads who view the market as a stepping stone to something bigger and better. There's no sense of consistency with the younger talent, and they don't stick around long enough to really know the city or region. The lack of coverage of Kamala at Penzey's isn't a surprise, because I suspect the news directors are in the tank for Trump and the younger talent likely doesn't even know where the Strip District is.

(262 posts)have washed away the TV news brains here. One station even has a "traffic expert" who couldn't find 39th Street from the 40th Street Bridge.

When I checked my email on my phone this morning, I knew I had to get to my computer and share the link. Glad there are longer clips!
